From small beginnings in the 12th century, Great Brington, "the town on the brink", developed into a world renowned tourist location being a few hundred yards from Althorp House, the family home and final resting place of Princess Diana.

The Church of St Mary the Virgin dominates its present and past. It is believed that Mary, Queen of Scots lay here after her execution and Charles I before his.

George Washington's great-great-great-grandfather, Laurence is buried in the churchyard. Indeed the Washington Coat of Arms is displayed three times here. The origins of the national flag of the USA can be seen - on the crest are three stars with stripes beneath.

Of course world attention has focused on more recent historical matters: the life of The Spencer Family's celebrated daughter, Lady Diana Spencer. Her fairy tale marriage to Prince Charles was loved by the world when she became the Princess of Wales.

We are proud of our links with Diana and Great Brington and hope we can provide food and sustenance to visitors from around the world.
